Rules
1) A team may consist of a maximum of 5 participants.
2) Participants have to build a single robot.
3) Participants in a team can be from same or different institutes.
4) However, no person may be a part of multiple teams for this event.

7) Violation of rules will lead to disqualification of the respective team
8) The competition will be played on a knock-out basis.
9) Rules may change without prior intimation. Participants are requested to check MindSpark’11 website regularly for updates.

11) The decision of the Judges and Organisers will be final and binding over everybody.
12) Safety is of utmost importance. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any team if their robot is found to be unsafe in any way.

- There is a part in the regulations which seems a bit unclear. What do I do about that?
If there is any part of the rules that seem unclear, please notify us immediately. We still reserve the right to disqualify a team if we believe that the rules are being bent to take an unfair advantage over other teams.
- Is on the spot registration allowed?
On the Spot registration is allowed before starting of elimination round.
- I am participating in multiple events in MindSpark. Is there any problem with that?
You are free to participate in every event in MindSpark provided you manage your own schedule. Organizers will not reschedule any part of the event.

Rules

(Autonomous robot is not compulsory).
2. 24V – 2A power supply will be provided by the organizers. Participants may bring their own power supply not exceeding this limit.
3. Autonomous should have on board power supply.
4. Robots will be tested for dimensions & safety.

6. The decisions of the organizers will be considered final and binding to all.

FAQs
- How many hand touches are allowed? What is the preparation time before each match?
Each team will be given 1 min preparation time for adjusting robots before the match. Even if a team is not ready after 1 min, the game will commence.
Max 3 hand touches are allowed in a match. A team taking a 4th hand touch will be disqualified. - What if both teams score same points?The tie-breaker criteria will be used. There can be a rematch or a part of the task should be played again.

OBJECTIVE :
The line tracer event. It’s all about building a bot to follow the path chosen for it- in a race against time. Put your skills to the test- come up with a smart robot to pass through the challenge areas which are designed to allow only the best of the best to pass through!
Rules
1. A team once registered, cannot register again, even with a different name
2. A team may consist of a maximum of 3 students.
3. A team may consist of members from different educational institutes. Only undergraduate students may participate.
4.One person cannot be a part of multiple teams for the same event.
5.Any team that is not ready at the time specified will be disqualified automatically.
6.The machine will be checked for its safety before the race and will be discarded if found unsafe for other participants and spectators.
7.Judges’ decision shall be treated as final and binding on all.
8.Misconduct of any type on the robotics arena may lead to disqualification.
9.Rules may be changed without prior intimation. Participants are requested to check the MindSpark’11 website regularly for updates.
10.Each contesting team will be given 1 minute to make any adjustments to the sensors on test arena. Each contesting machine is allotted 3 minutes run time after the 1 minute adjustment time. The run time clock will commence after the 1 minutes time limit even if the handler is still making adjustments to the sensors.
11.If an operator touches the machine during run, this will be considered as a hand-touch and the machine must be put back at the last checkpoint crossed. If the machine already crossed the finish line, it may be removed at any time.
12.The operator can take any number of hand touches. There is penalty for a hand touch. Also the machine must be placed back at the last checkpoint crossed after every hand touch.
13.Even if a participant takes a hand touch, the clock will keep running and will not be reset as the machine starts again from the previous checkpoint
14.The top 16 teams which clear the elimination round in the shortest amount of time will compete in the Final round in which their robot will have to destroy something along with line tracing.
15. Misconduct of any type on the robotics arena may lead to disqualification.
FAQs
Q. Are we allowed to use any pre-made components?
A. No readymade or Lego kits will be allowed.
Q. Will we be provided with power supplies?
A. You will not be allowed to use a power supply while the robot is running. However, a supply can be provided for battery charging purposes.
Q. Is it possible to obtain certain last minute materials from the organizers?
We are NOT going to provide any type of computer, software, laptop, programmer, IC etc. in any case.
Q. Is it possible to participate in other events in MindSpark?
You are free to participate in as many events as you want. However, no changes in the schedule will be made from the organizer’s side.
