Introduction
Play the adventurer and reveal to the world the never seen
intricacies inside a metal with your micrographs.
Optical, SEM and TEM micrographs mounted on a 2-3 mm thick cardboard of
dimension A-4 are invited, and represented in PPT format.
The contest is open to all participants.
The primary goal of the contest is to advance the science
of micro structural analysis by providing an opportunity for micro structural
analysts to display their work and communicate significant scientific
information.
Each entry in the Metallography Contest must carry the
following information:
- Type (Optical Microscope, SEM, TEM, any other advanced
technique employed)
- Title
- Sample details (material, etc.)
- History
- Magnification
- Microstructure development technique
- Etchant used
- Relevant explanation if any unusual technique has been
used
- Pet name, if applicable
- Any other details
