Overview
"Save the World" is basically an 'Idea Presentation'
competition. It aims to provide a platform for people who want to make a
difference, even if in a small way. If you have an idea which can help to combat
any of the problems mankind is facing today or an Idea which will make this
world a better place to live in, this is the chance you were waiting for.
Here you can present a possible solution for any
environmental or social problem.
As it is difficult to come up with concrete
solutions to such problems you can also participate with a detailed study of a
problem along with possible ways to tackle it.
You can also present a completely new issue
related to our topic which you think needs to be addressed.
Technical as well as non technical ideas are
welcome.
Your presentation can be related to any of the
following topic:

Rain harvesting.
·
Electricity conservation.
·
Will we see the animal like tiger, elephant in future?
·
Be ozone friendly.
·
Human behavior & environment.
·
E waste -Need of destruction.
·
Food & water wastage can be removed completely?
·
Traffic---Stepping up for artificial biosphere..
·
Is mobile affect the future of young generation?
·
Let orphans feel they are not alone.
Structure
Step one: Submission of Abstract.
The abstract round involves the submission of a
summary of the Idea.
The abstract should include all the important points
about your Idea or Study. Following points are provided as general guidelines
and are not mandatory.

The problem identified
·
Severity of the problem
·
Proposed solution
·
Statistics to support your claims
·
Implementation plan
·
Sphere of influence
Last date for submission of the abstract is 10th Sept.
2008.
Step two: Short listing of finalists
On the basis of the abstracts, finalists will be
short listed. Depending upon the response, entries might be classified into two
or more categories.
Step three: Presentation of Idea
Finalists will present their Ideas to the panel of
judges. You can also present small scale model, experiment or any other such
thing to support your idea.
Step four: Answering session
In this, the judges will try to have solutions of
their doubts and questions about your presentation. You have to express your
knowledge that can satisfy the judges.
All ideas will be sent to the different
social organizations like Spandan or others.
People will also get chance to work with
these organizations for Practical implantation of their Ideas.
