Introduction:
- It will be a one day event for testing su-doku solving skills of
participants.
- First round will be an elimination round consisting of
one su-doku.
10 minutes will be given and the
participant completing the exercise successfully will go through to the next
round.
- Final round will be of
40 minutes and will have two
sections
- This section will have
four
su-dokus. A participant needs
to attempt at least three of
them before attempting the bonus
su-doku. Bonus will be awarded for solving all four
su-dokus.
- This section will have
one
bonus su-doku which is
somewhat twisted but conceptually the same.
Problem statement:
Fill in the 9X9 grid so that every horizontal row, every vertical column
and every 3X3 box contains the digits 1-9, without repeating the numbers in the
same row, column or box. You can’t change the digits already given in the grid.
Every puzzle has one solution.

· Criteria for judging the winner:
Winners
will be judged according to following criteria in given order. In case of a tie,
the next parameter will be considered for selection.

Marks scored by a participant
2.
Time taken for completion
3.
Marks scored in section-II
4.
Marks scored in specified su-doku of section-I.
5.
Time in elimination round.
- On the spot registration will depend on availability
of seats.
- A participant should be a registered student of any
college and may have to produce I-card at the time of event if required.
- Decision of organizers will be final and mandatory.
- A participant found cheating will be automatically
disqualified from the competition.
- Organizers have the right to change any of the above
rules or marking schemes without any prior notice.
