'TUX' is a workshop to spread the knowledge of Open Source Software and to promote the usage of Linux operating system among the students. Linux operating system is considered as an alternative to Windows and Mac and has been accepted by millions of people around the world. Linux is modern, very stable, multi-user, multitasking environment on your inexpensive PC hardware, at almost no monetary cost for the software that makes making it a powerful platform. This workshop aims to develop interest in Linux and imbibe shell programming skills among the students and teach its propagation.
Participants must carry their receipt and a valid ID-Card at all times during the workshop.
Participants must be punctual for all reporting times. Sessions may begin without participants if they are late.
If any damage occurs to the machines, participants may be asked to refund the cost of repairs.
Organizers are not responsible for any harm caused to participants due to their own negligience.

Q. I'm participating in another event at MindSpark. Can I still register for this workshop? Ans: You are free to apply to every event at MindSpark provided you are able to manage your own schedule.

Q. Who can participate? Ans: Anybody from any branch provided he/she is from a recognized educational institute.
Q. What are prerequisites to participate? Ans: The workshop does not have any "technical" pre-requisite. If you are interested, you should attend
the workshop. And if you do not have sufficient information to like or dislike it, we assure you that
the workshop will create curiosity and interest about the topic.
Q. What will be the registration fee? Ans: No registration fee required. The workshop is free of cost.
Q. Is it necessary to bring Laptops for TUX (the workshop)? Ans: It is not compulsory but if possible you can bring it so that you can practically perform things.
