Event Structure & Rules

Rules

  1. 1

    Teams will be given 4 problem statements to choose from and develop a solution in the 24-hour time period.
    The solution may consist of an Application ( Web or Mobile ), Data visualization or a Design prototype.

    Participants are urged to craft innovative applications in line with our problem statement. Onsite mentors will provide guidance, ensuring teams create impactful solutions during the event.

  3. 3

    Each team must present their product to our onsite mentors during the hackathon and deliver a final presentation to the judging panel. The winner will be selected based on these presentations.

  4. 4

    Rules may change without prior intimation. Participants are requested to check the official MindSpark'23 website regularly for updates.

  5. 5

    Winners will be chosen solely on discretion. In case of any disputes, the decision of the organizers and the judges will be final and binding to all.

Event Structure

  1. Problem Statement Declaration

    "The final problem statements will be unveiled one day before the Hackathon. Participants will select one from the provided options, each outlining the fundamental idea they'll be developing during the event."

  2. Informative Session

    "Before the hackathon begins, a comprehensive briefing session will be held for participants, addressing any queries or uncertainties they might have."

  3. 24-Hour Hackathon

    "Teams will devote 24 continuous hours to their selected problem statements, beginning immediately after the scheduled informative session. Subsequently, they will present their final solutions before a panel of judges."

FAQs

Who can participate in the Tata Power Hackathon?

Any UG student can participate

I have never participated in a hackathon. Should I participate in this one?

Everybody has a first time. We encourage first timers to participate in the Hackathon and get first-hand experience in building a real life product.

Are cross college teams allowed?

Yes, participants from different colleges/institutions may form a team. However, one participant may not be a part of different teams for the same event.

Can I participate individually?

Yes, individual participation will be allowed but it is advised that at least two participants form a team.
